05/16: 5/16: Escape

When I was younger I would escape shitty days by drawing and blaring music, and it always helped me get away. Many years later I find myself doing the same exact thing. I think I'm ready for tomorrow.

05/15: 5/15: iPod Life Cycle

It's crazy to think about how short technology life spans are before they are replaced with a newer, shinier model that advertisers tell us we MUST have. Take my iPod for instance: at one point I thought it was cool and new, which was followed by it being outdated and old... and finally it's now old enough to be cool and "vintage". This has all happened inside of 10 years. Pretty crazy. Damn you Apple!

05/14: 5/14: Today

Saturday was a gorgeous day... I probably shouldn't have stayed inside drawing all day.

05/11: 5/11: Live Big

05/10: 5/10: Make Shit Happen

05/09: 5/9: Relax

While I was watching Madmen this past weekend a song by The Beatles came on called "Tomorrow Never Knows". The opening line of the song is this phrase, which I love.

05/08: 5/8: Work Hard

This piece of advice comes from a hilarious site I was recently turned on to called "Good Fucking Design Advice", a collaborative project between designers/educators Brian Buirge and Jason Bacher. Although I found everything to be extremely funny, there is plenty of great advice and insight built into each phrase. Check out their work here when you can... brilliant!

05/07: 5/7: BKLYN

05/04: 5/4: Smokin

I'M DONE! 55 pieces later, I have finished Biggie's main verses from "Juicy". It has taken a little more than one year to finish this project and I have to say it has been extremely fulfilling! At this point in time I'm exploring options on how to put this collection together as a set. Stay tuned! There may be a couple more Juicy related pieces to come, in order to help me cope with not releasing an update every Friday in the future, haha. Maybe I'll start another song?

05/03: 5/3: Tasty Waves

I'm a huge fan of the movie Fast Times At Ridgemont High, and I think Jeff Spicoli's character is brilliant. This is a classic quote of his.
